Notre Dame football fighting off powerhouses for 4-star safety

Now that the Notre Dame football team has closed out its 2024 recruiting class, it’s officially time for Marcus Freeman and company to go all-in on the 2025 class. In that regard, JaDon Blair looks to be one of the top targets for the Fighting Irish.

Blair, a 4-star safety who is wracking up the official offers from some of the best teams in the country, took to social media or had a surrogate take to social media to give a kind of update on where the recruitment of the Mount Tabor High School free safety sits.

Notre Dame football is in the picture for sure. Though the Irish are going to have to fight off some of the best teams in the country. In the post, a caption accompanied it saying, “one of these prestigious schools will land this exceptional student-athlete.”

Among those teams were Mississippi State, South Carolina, Michigan, Tennessee, LSU, Charlotte, Georgia Tech, East Carolina, Florida State, James Madison, Duke, Miami, Louisville, West Virginia, Wake Forest, Alabama A&M, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Penn State.

One thing that can be taken from that list, is that the region of the country where a school is located does not appear to be that much of a factor for the 4-star defensive back out of North Carolina.

Notre Dame football may have an in with JaDon Blair

If one were to try and read into where the Fighting Irish stand with the defensive back, it would have to be a good sign that he’s taken two unofficial visits and that those visits were not all that far apart.

JaDon Blair took in what South Bend has to offer first in July. He then came back to see what the campus was like during the season in late September. 

At the moment, Notre Dame football is one of two schools that have already received two unofficial visits from the 2025 prospect. Florida State appears to be the only other school. Marcus Freeman and company are likely hoping that carries some serious weight.
