Notre Dame football legend welcomes former teammate to Hall of Fame
Notre Dame football legend Bryant Young has had a rather busy winter. First, he got to see his son commit to the school where he played his college ball. That same son, by the way did it while he was at an All-Star game for the best high school players in the country.
While the former NFL superstar has been representing the Notre Dame football program quite well over the years, he's wearing a different hat these days. These days, he's representing the NFL Hall of Fame.
In particular, Young was tasked with welcoming one of the newest additions to the Hall of Fame. Patrick Willis, a former teammate of Young's on the San Francisco 49ers was just voted in. The former Notre Dame football star was given the task and the privilege of passing the information on to Willis.
The Pro Football Hall of Fame memorialized the event, which showed Young - a class of 2022 inductee - walking up to Willis' house and knocking on his front door. The newest member of the Hal of Fame was then walked to the door by a family member covering his eyes, until he saw Young, his old friend and teammate standing on the front stoop,
It was a touching moment for both men, as Young explained why he was there and welcomed him into the very special fraternity of former players who make it into Canton. As Young told his former teammate that he was always impressed by him, Willis shed some tears, clearly moved by the moment.

The meeting was especially moving because it was between two men who spent their entire careers with the same team. Both Young and Willis only ever played for the San Francisco 49ers. And Willis joined the franchise the same year Young was on his way out.
Now the ex-Notre Dame football legend and Patrick Willis are on the same team, once more time. This one, they'll be members of forever.
