June is becoming a massive recruiting month for Notre Dame football and other programs nationwide. More and more recruits want to have their future school picked out early on in the summer. A couple of those recruits are visiting South Bend this weekend and Marcus Freeman and company are looking to close the deal.

The Irish are hosting a small group of high-value targets over the weekend, but two stand out the most. Both prospects happen to be in a position that the Fighting Irish are hoping to keep building and upgrading.

The good news here is that one of the prospects is a legacy recruit for the Golden Domers so they have a bit of an in with him. The bad news here is that for both prospects, there’s a ton of Power 4 teams coming after them. Marcus Freeman and company are in quite the fight, and they’re going to use this weekend to wage the war.

Notre Dame football has two massive visitors in South Bend

The biggest of the big visitors for this weekend is Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng out of Bradenton, Florida. Owusu Boateng is considered the 52nd-ranked player in his class by 247Sports. He’s the younger brother of former Fighting Irish star Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah who is now chasing down offensive stars with the Cleveland Browns.

ND is hoping it can close the deal Owusu-Boatend this weekend, though they might not find that out until a few moore months into the summer. The 4-star linebacker is visiting Ohio State next weekend and then he’ll be at Michigan the week after that.

Meanwhile Madden Faraimo out of California. According to 247Sports, he’s the 16th best linebacker in the class and has a few teams in common with Owusu-Boateng. In fact, Faraimo will be in Columbus one week after Owusu-Boatend.

That’s just one of the reasons the Notre Dame football coaching staff is hoping to make a very good impression this weekend.
