Over the last week, there has been a lot of talk about who and what will be in EA Sports College Football 25. We've known for a while that the Notre Dame football team will be in the game. However, there is one important member of the team who may not be there.

According to an ESPN article, while EA Sports has worked out NIL deals with thousands of college football players, it appears there isn't another deal in place for the Fighting Irish coaches. Or any other coaches in the sport.

Extra Points newsletter publisher Matt Brown added on to that reporting that while the company has indeed ruled out putting real coaches in EA Sports College Football 25, there is a chance that those plans could change in future games.

It's not entirely clear why Marcus Freeman and the rest of the coaches in the sport would be left out of the game. While the company is wrapping up signing thousands of players over the next few months, it doesn't seem like it would have been that hard to also get a deal in place with 134 active coaches.

Maybe you go after 140 or 150 if there is going to be some sort of coaching carousel. Someone who can get a job when Marcus Freeman or someone else moves to another job in the game. It's an interesting decision for a game that prides itself on realism.

Notre Dame football coaches won't be in EA Sports College Football 25

The news that real life coaches won't be involved comes around the same time that Chris Fowler is talking about all the different scenarios he did voiceover work for in EA Sports College Football. And yet, this isn't a rumor that will be proved later.

The company has admitted that Marcus Freeman and and the rest of the Notre Dame football staff won't be around when players boot up the game.
