Notre Dame football vs Texas A&M are most expensive tickets of the week

When most of the country’s best teams are taking on FBS or Group of 5 opponents in the first week of the season, Notre Dame football and Texas A&M are bucking the trend by squaring off in a game that could end up dashing the playoff hopes of one of the two squads. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons tickets are such a hot commodity.

There’s also the fact that Kyle Field tickets are always hard to come by when the Aggies are playing a team the level of the Fighting Irish. But they are rarely as expensive as game tickets for Saturday night’s tickets will cost if you go looking for a last minute seat.

Sports Illustrated reports through Vivid Seats that in fact, the Notre Dame football game’s tickets are the most expensive of any game this weekend. And it’s not as though it’s really remotely close.

What’s most impressive about the Irish being at the top of the list is that while there are plenty of powderpuff matchups, there are some pretty impressively marquee games on the agenda for Saturday, Sunday and even Monday.

Still, the Notre Dame vs Texas A&M tickets are going for an average of $513 per ticket. The next highest price is the USC Trojans vs LSU Tigers game on Sunday. That contest is seeing an average price of $321. 

The Penn State Nittany Lions at West Virginia Mountaineers tilt is third on the list with an average price tag of $312 and Miami at Florida is the No. 4 highest priced average ticket at $286. 

Rounding out the Top 5 is the Clemson Tigers vs Georgia Bulldogs game at 11am which is generating an average price of $271.

Bottom line is that if you’re a Notre Dame football fan looking for last minute tickets on Saturday, be prepared to pay.
