The Notre Dame football team needed the win on Saturday afternoon. Against the Louisville Cardinals, the Fighting Irish needed to come through against one of the best teams in the ACC.

Not only did they need to win, but they needed to put up numbers that actually showed they can hang with the better teams in the college football world. While the game against the Cards wasn't perfect, there were plenty of nice performances.

PFF came back with the ratings and snap counts for Notre Dame football's offense against the Louisville Cardinals. You can check out all their stats here.

Notre Dame football ratings and snap counts vs the Louisville Cardinals

Quarterbacks

Riley Leonard has looked like the quartrback the Fighting Irish thought they were getting when he transferred in his last two games. He's not putting up eye popping numbers, but he's looked more solid, is hitting better passes and is still a weapon on the ground.

Yesterday, he completed 17-of-23 passes for 163 yards and 2 TDs, he also carried the ball 13 times for 52 yards and another TD.

Running backs

None of the Irish running backs had a great game on Saturday. Leonard was the leading rusher. Though Jeremiyah Love was effective running and catching the ball. He had just 32 yards rushing but he also had 5 catches for 27 yards and a touchdown.

Wide receivers

Much like the running backs, the wide receivers' numbers are especially odd for a game in which the offense scored 31 points. None of the team's pass catchers had a particularly good game. Jaden Greathouse was the only one who could qualify for that, logging 4 catches for 61 yards and a touchdown.
