Spring football is just around the corner, but that doesn't mean teams are together right now. For Notre Dame, the early enrollees are getting acquainted with the world of college football while veterans are back in the weight room preparing for another season.

Notre Dame had many players enroll early this spring, including offensive lineman Sullivan Garvin, who is even learning a new position. When speaking with the media this week, Garvin talked about how he has even begun learning a new position, playing center.

For an offensive lineman, it is not easy to move to a new position, especially the center position, but Garvin said he is working closely not just with offensive line coach Joe Rudolph, but his fellow teammates have beena. huge help as well.

"I have been playing center right now, it is a brand new position, never played it in my life," Garvin said. "It comes with a lot of responsibility, but I like that. Having Ashton, Joe Otting, Cam Herron, guys to bounce questions around with its been great."

Notre Dame has always been described as a brotherhood, and Garvin is learning that firsthand right now. Instead of his teammates looking at him as competition, Garvin is able to turn to them for help in learning the new position.

Garvin comes to Notre Dame as a three-star prospect in the Class of 2026, and while he may not have been the highest-ranked player, he is showing something even more special: he is willing to do whatever his coaches need of him.

A player willing to change positions no matter what and do anything for the coaching staff is a dream player. Garvin is proving that he is a team guy who simply wants to win with his team, and he has a chance now to be a real impact for Notre Dame in the future.
