The first installment of the College Football Playoff rankings by the selection committee was released on Tuesday night, and while some teams fell where everyone thought they would, others had some problems with some of the rankings. Notre Dame came in at No. 10, sneaking into the CFP if it started today, and that has some people really angry.
The Fighting Irish lost their first two games of the season, one to Miami, who came in ranked No. 18, and Texas A&M, who came in ranked at No. 3. Here is the thing, though, Notre Dame lost both of those games by a total of four points, and it was at the beginning of the season.
Since then, Notre Dame has gone on a six-game win streak, each win being pretty convincing, and a win over No. 20 USC. The committee feels Notre Dame has done what it needed to in order to make it into the College Football Playoff right now, and some people just really can't handle that.
College football fans are losing their mind over Notre Dame's CFP ranking

Notre Dame's losses have come against two ranked teams. Sure, Miami isn't as good as people thought they were, but looking at Texas, they lost to a worse, unranked Florida team, which Miami beat. Oklahoma, in turn, lost to Ole Miss, but also to Texas. The ACC isn't strong, and yes, Notre Dame plays a lot of ACC teams, but they also played two SEC teams and one of the better Group of Five teams. They have proved themselves, and the committee isn't carrying them anywhere.
6-2 Notre Dame

• Best win: #19 USC
• Lost to Miami
7-1 Louisville
• Best win: #18 Miami
• Didn’t lose to Miami
Going to Miami and losing, then choking at home to Texas A&M, is 5 spots more impressive than going to Miami and winning and only having 1 loss.
Makes sense. pic.twitter.com/DceBywRGQv
With Miami now losing another game, though, that means that Louisville's best win is getting worse. Other than Miami, what other quality win does Louisville have, and where are they going to get it with Cal, Clemson, SMU, and Kentucky on their schedule?
So the committee thinks a Notre Dame team with two losses to Miami and Texas A&M, and who barely scraped by Boston College and looked like ass is more impressive than winning on the road at Tennessee ok lol

Oklahoma lost two games to Texas and Ole Miss as well. The best thing Notre Dame could have done was lose early and make up for it as the season has gone on. They have basically been playing a playoff game the last six games and passed the test every time. Oklahoma's losses weren't good; they got blown out by Texas and weren't super close with Ole Miss.
Notre Dame has absolutely no business in the CFP. Likewise Texas or Oklahoma but we aren't putting both in the top 12. Georgia Tech or Miami are getting absolutely screwed in these rankings. Like big time.

1: Ohio
2: Indiana
3: Texas A&M
4: Alabama
5: Ole Miss
6: BYU

Miami has dug its own grave with its losses this season, and Georgia Tech still has a very real chance to get into the playoff with a win in the ACC Championship, but they have to get through the rest of the season first, which includes a big game against Georgia later.
You flip the logos on the resumes and Indiana is not in the top 15 and Notre Dame is ranked #1

Why are Indiana fans complaining here? They are ranked No. 2 in these rankings, and Notre Dame right now is playing tougher games.
Notre dame gets saved by the committee every year which inevitably ends up being notre dame getting dog walked on national tv

Should we remind this guy that Notre Dame made it to the College Football Playoff last season?
I think Notre Dame can make it a tough game with any team in the country but they don’t deserve to be ranked number 10.

So Notre Dame can be competitive with literally anyone in the country, but doesn't deserve to be ranked accordingly? Make it make sense.
