All season, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love has been the heart and soul of the Fighting Irish offense. Thursday night, in the Orange Bowl, he showed why as he scored one of the most impressive touchdowns you'll ever see.

With the game tied at 10-10 early in the fourth quarter, the Irish had a first-and-goal from the Penn State two-yard line. That's when Love got the call.

Initially, it looked as if Love would be stopped in the backfield as a Nittany Lion defender knifed through the Notre Dame offensive line to hit him at the five. However, Love would hurdle the defender and keep his feet.

However, his path to the endzone wasn't clear even after he avoided the tackle for loss. Love then looked to be wrapped up at the line of scrimmage.

He kept his feet churning, though, and powered through three Penn State tacklers before extending the ball over the goal line. That heroic run put the Irish ahead 17-10 and it will go down as one of the toughest runs in recent program history.

What's amazing, though, is that Love took on half of the Penn State defense despite playing through a knee injury that has required him to wear a brace for the entirety of the game. His sprained knee has rendered him less than 100% but still, he's been able to make an impact.

Playing against one of the stingiest run defenses in the country, Love has carried the ball nine times for 42 yards and a touchdown. Along the way, he gave us one of the most memorable and determined touchdown runs we've ever seen. If the Irish go on to win the game, that's a play that could go down in Notre Dame lore.
