The Fighting Irish defense will be challenged by an explosive Clemson Tigers Offense

Let’s think back to a year ago when Notre Dame was in a similar position. Ranked number five in the country, the Irish traveled to Tallahassee, Florida to take on No. 2 Florida State in a clash that would be remembered as one of the best games of the 2014 season. Despite going blow for blow against the Winston-led Seminoles, Notre Dame fell short losing 27-31. That game altered the course of Notre Dame’s season as the Irish finished 2-7 in the second half of the year.

One year later, Notre Dame (4-0) finds itself in a very similar situation. The Irish will travel to Death Valley to take on the 11th ranked Clemson Tigers in a match up that will be covered by College Game Day. Many of the Irish are looking to avenge last year’s prime time loss with a huge victory over the Tigers (3-0) Saturday. If they can walk away with a win, Notre Dame will undoubtedly be seen as a legitimate contender for the College Football Playoffs.
