Beau Robbins has always loved Notre Dame.

2019 defensive end Beau Robbins grew up 2 hours away from Notre Dame campus in Carmel, Indiana. The 6’5, 230 pound sophomore grew up a Notre Dame fan and would be more than excited to land an offer from Brian Kelly.

“It’s a dream offer. I’ve been a fan of Notre Dame since I was little and it’s one of the best programs in the country. It would be really cool to get an offer from there. Everyone in my family would be very excited,” boasted Robbins. “I’ve been to three or four games and have always been a fan,” he added.

Beau went on to explain his football career so far and what he hopes to accomplish in the future.”I’ve played football since second grade. I’ve always played for Carmel. I want to play in college and, if possible, I’d love to play in the N.F.L.,” said Robbins.

Beau explained that he comes from an athletic family that have been involved in college football. “A lot of my family members played sports growing up and my uncle played college football for Iowa,” added Robbins.

Robbins, who’s a huge fan of Jaylon Smith and Sheldon Day, explained that he will be visiting and how it came about. “My head coach talked to one of the coaches and helped set up my visit on April 21,” he mentioned.

I asked Robbins about his measurables and what his goals are in the weight room. “I’m 6’5, 230. I don’t think I’ll get any taller but I hope to put on more muscle,” he said.

In closing, here’s what Beau Robbins had to say, “It’s nice that it’s close to home. They have great academics and a great football program and I’m looking forward to visiting.”

Robbins was a regular in the backfield during his sophomore season as you can see in his Hudl highlights. He finished the season with 11 sacks and 8 tackles for loss. He shows a relentless motor, nice bend and solid pass rushing technique.

The coaching staff like to use Robbins in a number of ways to put pressure on the offense and to maximize his skill set. He lines up as an outside linebacker, in the interior of the defense and as a defensive end, his main position.

I like Robbins grit and ferocious demeanor when getting off blocks.

He shows that he can provide a great pass rush from anywhere he lines up and what is most impressive is that he’s only a sophomore. His best days are certainly ahead of him and that is an exciting thing.

You gotta love a local kid.
