Seattle May Have Picked The Most Dangerous Weapon In The NFL Draft
The Seattle Seahawks grabbed an offensive weapon when the chose CJ Prosise with the 90th pick in the NFL Draft.
It was an amazing season that capped an unlikely career at Notre Dame. CJ Prosise, a 3 star recruit from Virginia that was recruited as a safety, changed to a wide receiver, and then morphed into a running back, is going to have a chance to put on display his incredible talent for the NFL.
The fact of the matter is, is that CJ Prosise just might be the most dangerous offensive weapon in the entire NFL Draft- and that includes his big play-making Notre Dame teammate, Will Fuller.
When Brian Kelly finally moved CJ over from that safety spot to a receiver, Kelly was looking for that “slot guy,” that he preached would make the offense go. After taking some time to evolve into the position, Prosise turned into a dangerous receiver capable of the big play, as well as a threat to run the ball with jet sweeps.

It was looking like Prosise was exactly what Kelly and Notre Dame was wanting for that position and a was going to be a solid player returning for 2015. Then, all sorts of stuff started happening- most notably the departure of running back Greg Bryant.
In the spring of 2015, Notre Dame was in need of running backs and moved Prosise (who is a natural athlete) over. It seemed like it was just supposed to be a stop gap for the spring, but Prosise developed quickly and became the number two back- and then Tarean Folston got a season ending injury early in the first game of the season. Now this complimentary back that Prosise was supposed to be, was now THE man at running back for the Irish.
All Prosise did was turn into one of the most explosive running backs Notre Dame has ever had. At any moment he could take it the distance for a touchdown.

So, Seattle takes him in the NFL Draft, and Pete Carroll has another one of those weapons that can do a little bit of everything, and that little bit can be a lot of yards and scores. I’m not sure if there is another player in the NFL Draft that has this skill set and the experience to back it up. CJ Prosise is a dangerous weapon, and the Seahawks are going to use it.
