Erick Hallet will visit Notre Dame for the Spring Game.

Notre Dame has been in contact recently with cornerback Erick Hallett who goes to Cy-Fair in Cypress, Texas, former school of Notre Dame’s prized early enrollee tight end, Brock Wright.

I spoke with Hallett just this week and he had spoke about hearing from Mike Elko. The defensive coordinator expressed to him that he was impressed with his film and went on to tell him about his scheme and defensive philosophy as well as some notes about the University.

Hallett, who is close with Brock Wright, explained to me that he was very interested in Notre Dame and that he would love to see the campus in the future if the opportunity arose.

“I spoke with coach Lyght and I will be attending the Spring Game, April 22,” said Hallett.

Notre Dame have just one cornerback in their current class with Cass-Tech star, Kalon Gervin having given his commitment shortly after junior day. Given that they didn’t land a single cornerback in the ’17 class, they’ll be looking to add at least one more in this cycle.

“I’m truly honored to receive the Spring Game invite and really excited to get an opportunity to meet Coach Kelly, Coach Elko, and Coach Lyght personally,” boasted Hallett.

“Notre Dame is one of my dream schools and I am excited to get a chance to be on campus,” added Hallett.

Erick Hallett will be making the trip to South Bend with his father. The two of them are excited to catch up with Wright and discuss what his life has been like as a student-athlete at Notre Dame.
