Four-star Prentiss Hubb, now deciding between four schools, could be the number one prospect for Notre Dame basketball.

Prentiss Hub has narrowed his potential landing spots down to four schools. Maryland, Virginia, Villanova, and Notre Dame are all still in the running to sign the four-star recruit according to The Washinton Post, while Syracuse and Kansas were eliminated.

The top-ranked player in D.C. recently took a visit to Notre Dame, and incoming Freshman D.J. Harvey made sure to make his voice heard during the recruiting process.

How big could Hubb be with the Irish? The potential seems almost limitless. He fits in perfectly with Mike Brey’s offense.

Hubb is a heavy catch-and-shoot type player. Something that can kill teams when you have an assist happy and efficient offense like Notre Dame.

The ball movement Notre Dame plays with will lead Hubb to his fullest potential. A key attribute to his game is his court vision and ability to pass the ball.

He’s a creative player. From his dribbling to his passing, the offensive possibilities are endless. He has the ability to use his speed to get to the rim while drawing in another defender and finishing with a crafty pass to the open teammate.

When you see an offensive player like Hubb and the type of offense Notre Dame runs, you can’t help but wonder how beautifully it could all work out.

Listed as a shooting guard many consider him as a true point guard. In many programs, Hubb is easily someone who could play the 1 or 2 spot with ease.

If Hubb decided to come to Notre Dame, he would have a season to play along Rex Pflueger and D.J. Harvey. Two guys who play similar to Hubb where he could learn from. This would be during Plueger’s senior season.

This would be during Plueger’s senior season, which means Hubb has the potential to start his Sophomore season, which could make Notre Dame more attractive.
