The ACC & Notre Dame Basketball program released the full schedule for 2017-2018 today

Notre Dame opens up the regular season on the road against DePaul. The game marks the opening for the new Wintrust Arena. Although this game brings a lot of excitement, the non-conference schedule is highlighted by Michigan State as part of Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

More from Notre Dame Men's Basketball

ACC conference play opens up December 30th between Florida State at Duke with a 2 p.m. tip-off. Along with the battle between the Seminoles and Blue Devils, the Irish will also be apart of the ACC opener hosting Georgia Tech on ESPN2 (tip off TBA).

The real test for Notre Dame comes in January as the Irish will play North Carolina on the 13th and three short days later play Louisville on the 16th.

Mike Brey will have the benefit of playing both these games at home, but still, a hard test only a hand full of games into the conference schedule.

Notre Dame will have plenty of big games ahead of them this year playing in arguably the toughest conference in the nation. But Mike Brey will be able to get a second look at some teams. They will play Georgia Tech twice just 11 days apart from each other. The Irish will also play Boston College, NC State and North Carolina twice this season.

Road Test

Away from home, Irish fans will want to highlight key match-ups against Duke Jan. 29th and North Carolina Feb. 12th. But the tough road test doesn’t end there. The Irish will have to make trips to Syracuse, Georgia Tech and the regular season will wrap up for Notre Dame at Virgina.

Notre Dame returns a lot of talent with Bonzie Colson and Matt Farrell, and they will look to be one of the top teams in the ACC. It will be difficult for Notre Dame to produce conference results like they have since joining the ACC. The 2015 ACC Tournament Champs have made the ACC championship game twice in their first three seasons in the ACC.

Mike Brey will have to have his team ready to go, facing an extremely tough schedule.
