Dexter Williams (RB)

Overall Rank: 177

Position Rank: 55

If Dexter Williams is able to play all twelve games this year, he would be a steal as the 55th running back selected in the Fantasy Football draft. He wouldn’t be one of your two starting running backs, as those spots are reserved for players that you know will receive the lion’s share of the carries for their team. Williams would, however, be a very intriguing play at the flex position.

When we get to the latter half of the season, chances are one or more of the running backs you drafted will miss time with an injury. It’s the position with the most attrition. When looking for a backup, you probably want someone with a high ceiling and big play potential. That’s Williams to a T.

Some may be concerned about the production behind an offensive line that lost two top-ten draft picks to the NFL. However, the Irish return the other three starters on the line and two other guys with playing experience at Notre Dame. They might not win the Joe Moore award, but they have the potential to be one of the Top-15 lines in all of college football.
