The Notre Dame Men’s Basketball program has a tough task ahead of them Tuesday night, playing host to the No. 22 Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Notre Dame Men’s Basketball program will play host to No. 22 Ohio State in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Tuesday, marking their second game against a ranked opponent this season. Ohio State comes into this game with a 3-0 record, but Notre Dame has done well in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge at home, posting a 3-0 record of their own.

This will be their second matchup against a Big Ten opponent, as they lost on the road to Michigan State to kick off the season. Here are three keys to victory against a tough Ohio State team on Tuesday night.

Slow the game down

If the Irish want to come away with an upset victory over the Buckeyes, they have to slow the game down. Ohio State is currently averaging over 80 points per game, and love to get the ball upcourt and play with a fast tempo.

They also have a couple of players who can hurt you on both sides of the floor, so slowing things down and getting set during offensive possessions is going to be key. Of course, Prentiss Hubb and Cormac Ryan are going to want to get out and run, but if the Irish get in a track race against the Buckeyes, they do not have enough depth to hang with them for a full 40 minutes.
