On Sunday evening, the Notre Dame football program landed 2022 running back out of Texas in Jadarian Price. Since the end of January, when the staff offered Price, they have treated him as a major priority to join the class.

He’s been building great relationships with running back coach Lance Taylor and also Brian Polian, who’s been on him from the start. At the end of the day, I think he didn’t want to wait any longer, and also not miss out on a spot to join the Irish class.

He pulled the trigger for the Irish and the staff is most definitely thrilled by this news.  At the moment, Price holds 19 offers from the likes of Auburn, Texas Ohio State, and more.

What will Price end up bringing to the Notre Dame football program?

The 5’11 180 pound running back will bring strength and awareness in the backfield. He’s deceptively strong and can easily break arm tackles all over the field. To add, when he puts his foot in the ground and finds a hole, watch out.

He also has the speed to run right by the entire defense and break off big gains, but that starts with his burst and it’s impressive. He’s a back that’s well-rounded in his run game but has had more action in the passing game, which is huge for him and his game.

With a young back, you want someone that has the vision and instincts to build on when he gets to campus, and that’s exactly what Price has and will do once he gets to South Bend. Once he builds on his frame and gains more strength, he should be extremely fun to watch in blue and gold.

With Price officially committing to Notre Dame there are now seven pledges, four on offense and three defensively.

Lance Taylor and the staff would love to add another back to fill a great trio headed into next year and they can absolutely do that with whoever they add to the already impressive back in Jadarian Price. With the offensive line, they will be running through, what back wouldn’t want to join the Irish. Another great start for Lance Taylor and the offense.
