Recently, Bleacher Report listed nine players who were irreplaceable during the 2010s, and Notre Dame Football QB Ian Book was one of those selected.

Since taking over as the starting quarterback for the Notre Dame Football program, quarterback Ian Book has done a lot of winning. With question marks on both sides of the ball, Book was able to steer the Irish to plenty of victories, getting the job done with both his arm and his legs.

Sure, there were times when you wanted to rip your hair out watching him try to make a big play, but for the most part, the Notre Dame Football team had a true leader under center. Players gravitated towards him, and despite his size, he has put himself on the doorstep of being a legitimate NFL prospect.

Notre Dame Football won with Book under center

Bleacher Report recently put out a list of nine players who were irreplaceable leaders on their teams this past decade, and one member of the Notre Dame Football program made the list. That leader was Ian Book, who was a key on two College Football Playoff teams for the Irish, leading them to the most wins of any signal-caller in school history.

"“Pretty good. I’d like that on my resume,” Kelly told WNDU’s Mark Skol Jr. “… Again, to achieve at that level at Notre Dame, it’s an amazing feat.”"

There is no doubt that the Notre Dame Football program has produced some of the greatest college football talent ever, and for the past three seasons, this illustrious program has been placed in the hands of Book. He did not let the program down, sacrificing his body, getting better each season throwing the ball, and utilizing a revolving door of weapons at wide receiver, tight end, and running back.

Notre Dame Football will have its Pro Day next Wednesday, and there is expected to be a ton of NFL executives there to check out a fantastic class heading to the pros. With a solid Pro Day, Book could find himself landing with a team on Day 3, and that squad will be getting not only a great leader but someone who flat out wins football games.
