Kyle Pitts is the best tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft, but Notre Dame Football star Tommy Tremble could be one of the top-5 at the position group.

The Notre Dame football Pro Day will take place on Wednesday, as 14 former players will hit the field in hopes of improving their draft status. One former player who has had no issue improving his draft stock this offseason has been Tommy Tremble, who shocked fans of the Irish when he decided to declare early for the 2021 NFL Draft.

As we inch closer to next month’s first round, it is clear why Tremble decided to turn pro, as he has been turning heads since the season ended. He was not even the best tight end on the Notre Dame football team this past season, but some feel he is one of the best in this draft class, and possibly top-5.

CBS Sports rated Notre Dame football TE Tommy Tremble as No. 4 overall

When ranking the best tight ends available in the 2021 NFL Draft, it was no big shock that Pitts was rated the best of the bunch by CBS Sports. Some feel he is not only the best tight end in this draft class, but also the second-best overall player, a testament to his skill set, and what he was able to do at the University of Florida.

One name that stood out in terms of the ranking is Notre Dame football star Tommy Tremble, who was actually ranked inside the top-5. Tremble landed as the No. 4 ranked tight end in this entire draft class, which is why he is consistently mocked in the third round of the draft, and sometimes in the second.

Tremble is an excellent fit at the next level, as he can catch, is an elite blocker, and plays with an incredible edge.

Notre Dame football is certainly going to miss Tremble next season, but they are in good hands with Michael Mayer leading the group. Mayer could be an All-American before all is said and done, and while Tremble is a Day 2 pick, the sophomore could end up being a first-round selection in 2023.
