The Notre Dame Football program is losing a lot of talent this offseason, so will they be a top-10 team in the initial 2021 rankings?

The Notre Dame Football team is currently in the middle of spring practice, and everyone is looking forward to their Spring Game in a couple of weeks. For head coach Brian Kelly, the program has had a tremendous run of success, winning at least ten games in each of the last four seasons.

Due to that success, the group leaving the program due to graduation or the 2021 NFL Draft is a talented one, and the hope is that Kelly and the Irish can continue their winning ways. The group of incoming true freshmen have really done a nice job getting acclimated, and starters returning have stepped up and become leaders this spring.

Notre Dame Football ranked No. 6

In their latest rankings, Yardbarker had the Notre Dame Football program ranked at No. 6 in their early look at the top-25. That is one of the higher rankings we have seen for the Irish, who went into spring practice with a lot of question marks but saw a bunch of players step up.

Wide receiver was an issue, but there seems to be an abundance of talent there, and while the Irish are replacing eighty percent of their starting offensive line from last year, talent remains there as well. Overall, the Irish will need to replace elite talent, including possible first-round picks, but there is enough leftover, and enough talent coming in to make them one of the best teams in the country once again in 2021.

The Irish steamrolled through the ACC last season, going undefeated in the regular season, but will go back to playing their independent schedule in 2021.

dark. Next. Where would Kyle Hamilton be drafted in 2021?

Kyren Williams and Chris Tyree figure to be a dynamic duo at the running back position, and quarterback Jack Coan has looked better than expected. On defense, Marcus Freeman is an elite defensive coordinator and has enough talent on that side of the ball for the unit to continue to be one of the best in America.
