The Notre Dame Football program will see plenty of players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, and one could go higher than expected.

This spring, the Notre Dame Football program has had to hit the reset button along the offensive line, as four of their five starters from last season are entering the 2021 NFL Draft. Guys like Liam Eichenberg, Aaron Banks, Robert Hainsey, and Tommy Kraemer played a big role in the team going to two of the last three College Football Playoffs, and all four will certainly be missed.

As we inch closer to the 2021 NFL Draft, we are hearing a lot of buzz about a lot of Notre Dame prospects, including the big fellas who are leaving along the offensive line. Some are projected to go on Day 2, one could sneak into the first round, but for the most part, there is a good chance all four hear their names called across the three-day event.

For one prospect, his stock seems to be rising at the right time.

Notre Dame Football star rated in top-100 by PFF

In their final big board for the 2021 NFL Draft, Pro Football Focus listed the top-300 prospects in this year’s draft class. There were the usual suspects from Notre Dame Football, like Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and Liam Eichenberg, but one name really stood out to me, and that was Robert Hainsey.

Mike Renner projected Hainsey as the No. 100 overall prospects in this year’s draft class, which could mean he could be drafted as early as Day 2. That would be quite a rise for the versatile offensive lineman, who put on a show during the Senior Bowl, and has the size and athleticism to play up and down the line at the next level.

Hainsey played offensive tackle for the Irish opposite Eichenberg, but at the next level, he could certainly be moved inside and play guard. He showed that kind of versatility in drills during the Senior Bowl, and there are plenty of NFL teams that are thin up front, and need someone who can handle multiple duties.

It remains to be seen where all the chips will fall this year in the 2021 NFL Draft, as it is always the craziest three-day event of the offseason for the NFL. One thing is for sure, the 2021 class is going to be littered with talent from this Notre Dame Football program, and the higher guys go the better for Brian Kelly and his staff in terms of recruiting power.
