Notre Dame Football: 3 Bold Predictions in the 2021 NFL Draft

Two Irish land in the first round

The three-day extravaganza will kick off on Thursday night, as the 2021 NFL Draft will open for business, and have their first-round played out on national television. Since the college football season has ended, we have been hearing all about Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah going in the first round, and some media experts have mocked him all the way to No. 9 overall.

However, while JOK is almost certain to go in round one, I actually like the Notre Dame Football program to see two players come off the board within the first 32 selections. JOK will be joined in the first round by star left tackle Liam Eichenberg, who I believe is one of the more NFL-ready offensive linemen in this draft class.

Based on his skill set, I believe that Eichenberg joins Owusu-Koramoah in the first round, making the Irish one of a few teams who have multiple players selected on Night 1. The Notre Dame Football program could have as many as ten players selected before all is said and done, and having two go within the first 32 picks would be an excellent way to kick off the festivities.
