The Notre Dame Football team should have close to eight players selected in the 2021 NFL Draft, and we take a look at the ceiling and floor for one of them.

When he declared for the 2021 NFL Draft, Notre Dame Football tight end Tommy Tremble made some headlines. At the time, nobody could have guessed that he was going to leave school early, but now that we have all the information, it is a good thing that he did.

This is not a particularly strong draft class in terms of the tight end position, and looking at the collection of talent, he could certainly be the second or third tight end off the board. He has a perfect skill set for the NFL level, as he has tremendous hands, and is great in terms of blocking, making him someone who should have an impact early on.

As we inch closer to tomorrow night’s first round, let us take a look at where Tommy Tremble could land in the 2021 NFL Draft.

2021 NFL Draft floor and ceiling for Notre Dame Football tight end Tommy Tremble

Tremble has had himself quite a draft season, moving his way up to a potential late-round pick, to a possible Day 2 selection. Teams love his overall athletic ability, and his willingness to be an active blocker, making him a hot commodity around draft boards.

Tommy Tremble’s Draft Ceiling

I believe the ceiling for Tremble in the 2021 NFL Draft is late in the second round, although he is likely slated for the third round in my opinion. There are teams at the bottom of the second round who could use another playmaker in the passing game, as well as teams with strong running games that could use him as a blocker.

The Kansas City Chiefs hold pick No. 63, and that could be a spot for him, playing alongside Travis Kelce. Also, Green Bay needs playmakers for Aaron Rodgers, especially if they continue to pass on them in the first round.

Tommy Tremble’s Draft Floor

The absolute floor for Tremble in this draft is being one of the first guys off the board on Saturday, but I do not believe he is going to fall that far. If he is available on Day 3, you can be sure that the likes of Jacksonville or the Jets will grab him immediately.

All told, I believe that Tremble is going to land in the third round on Friday night, going early to a team like Houston or even the New York Jets. He is going to be an excellent pro, and it also would not shock me if he was the second tight end off the board.
