Notre Dame Football: Irish players that could be picked on Day 2 of the NFL Draft?
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah expected to hear his name called during the middle of the first night, however, he must wait until day two. Owusu-Koramoah should not stay on the board too long on Friday night, likely going within the first few selections.
Liam Eichenberg
Eichenberg received late first-round projections from some of the NFL Draft experts. The left tackle from Cleveland, Ohio played three seasons in South Bend after developing for his two years. Every writer at Slap the Sign believes Eichenberg finds his new home in the second round of the NFL Draft.
Tommy Tremble
The extremely physical tight end from Johns Creek, Georgia will most likely come off the board on the second day of the draft. Tremble could have benefited from another season in college, as he needs to demonstrate his pass-catching ability. He possesses it. It simply was not demonstrated this season. All the Slap the Sign writers predicted Tremble joins in the NFL in the third round.
Aaron Banks
All of the Slap the Sign writers predicted that Aaron Banks comes off the board in the third round. Banks possesses great position flexibility, as he played almost exclusively at left guard but bumped out to left tackle when Eichenberg suffered an eye injury against Florida State.
If he returned to Notre Dame in 2021, he probably would have played the left tackle. Banks does not possess prototypical NFL left tackle ability but could move to right tackle permanently or left tackle in an emergency.
Robert Hainsey
None of the Slap the Sign writers picked Hainsey for the second or third round. However, a few mock drafts, including Pro Football Focus, predicted that the Irish right tackle would go in the third round. Hainsey started all of his four seasons in South Bend. He will probably play inside along the offensive line.
Other prospects like Daelin Hayes and Adetokunbo Ogundeji could hear their names called but almost all mock drafts project the pair of the defensive ends in the fourth round or later.
