The Notre Dame Football team was supposed to see most of their offensive line drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, and three came off the board on Day 2.

The Notre Dame Football program continues to see some of their star selected on Day 2 of the 2021 NFL Draft, and they continue to show that they are “Offensive Line U.” Throughout the second and third rounds, three starting offensive linemen were drafted, showing just how great this unit was this past season.

In the third round, we saw tight end Tommy Tremble become the fourth player at his position group off the board, going at No. 83 overall to the Carolina Panthers. It only took 12 more slots before another member of this Notre Dame Football program heard his name called.

After Liam Eichenberg kicked off the action on Day 2, going No. 42 overall to Miami, fellow left-side of the linemate Aaron Banks went six picks later at No. 48 to the San Francisco 49ers. Tremble became the third fourth Irish player off the board after Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah went No. 52 to Cleveland, but the Irish were not done.

With pick No. 95, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Robert Hainsey their third-round pick, as both starting offensive tackles from the Irish came off the board. This is a kid who started rocketing up draft boards after a strong Senior Bowl and Pro Day and was rightfully selected on Day 2.

Hainsey is widely considered one of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class, as he played tackle in South Bend, but will likely move inside at the next level. Heck, Hainsey even played some center during the Senior Bowl practices, so he is a plug-and-play guy wherever you need him.

Day 3 will kick off at 12 PM ET, and it will run until rounds 4 through 7 finish up. There are still plenty of Irish players who could go on Day 3, and we cannot wait to see where these star players end up and continue their football journeys.
