The Notre Dame Football program has an excellent leader in Brian Kelly, who was recently ranked within the top ten head coaches in the country.

The Notre Dame Football program has some question marks heading into the summer, but one area where there is no question is at head coach. Since coming to South Bend, Brian Kelly has put together some remarkable seasons and has led this program to two of the last three College Football Playoffs.

In a recent ranking of the top-25 head coaches in all of college football by 247Sports, Kelly was ranked at No. 7 overall, which is a fair assessment. The only coaches Kelly was ranked behind were Nick Saban, Dabo Swinney, Lincoln Riley, Kirby Smart, Jimbo Fisher, and Ryan Day.

In fact, it could be argued that Kelly should have been higher on this list, possibly after Riley, as he has been a consistent winner over the past four seasons in South Bend. When all is said and done, Kelly will be the winningest coach in the history of the Notre Dame Football program.

Notre Dame Football has an elite leader

Looking at the 2021 schedule for the Irish, there is reason to believe that they will certainly put together another ten-win season. They play a bunch of top-25 teams, including Cincinnati, who could be their first loss of the season.

Notre Dame plays a ton of home games in 2021 and only travels far out West one time, and that is the last game of the season against Stanford. While they have lost a ton of talent to graduation and the 2021 NFL Draft, they have a lot of talent coming back, including some All-American candidates in Kyren Williams, Kyle Hamilton, and Michael Mayer.

No matter who is lining up for the Irish, it seems like Kelly and his staff can reload, and go out every Saturday and play solid football. They are going to need all hands on deck this upcoming season, as new faces take on bigger roles, but with Kelly at the helm, you have to believe that the Irish are not going anywhere, anytime soon.
