Notre Dame Football: Quenton Nelson named No. 4 player in NFL by PFF

The Notre Dame Football program produced one of the best offensive linemen in the NFL in Quenton Nelson, who is one of the best overall players as well.
Heading into the 2021 college football season, the Notre Dame Football program has some question marks along the offensive line. They have to replace four starters from last year’s team, but that is nothing new, as this is a program that has to replace elite offensive linemen every season.
A few years back, they had to replace Quenton Nelson, a dominating offensive guard who was selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, Nelson has rounded into one of the elite offensive linemen in the entire NFL, and one of the best players overall.
Notre Dame Football star rated No. 4 player in the NFL
Recently, Pro Football Focus released their list of the top-50 players in the NFL, and Nelson was ranked in the top-5. In fact, Nelson was not only rated the No. 4 player in the entire NFL heading into next season, but also the top offensive lineman, proving he is well on his way to a Hall of Fame career with the Indianapolis Colts.
Heading into his fourth NFL season, Nelson has established himself as a rare player for the Colts and will play a big role in them trying to get back to the playoffs. He will be tasked with protecting Carson Wentz this season, who is a bit more fleet of foot than Philip Rivers, and will once again be paving lanes for star running back Johnathan Taylor.
While there may be question marks when it comes to the Colts roster, Nelson is certainly not one of them, and he is just starting on a career that should land him in Canton one day. The Notre Dame Football program is known for producing elite offensive linemen, and in Nelson, he could end up being the best one ever.
