Notre Dame football: Top-3 NFL Fantasy Football options in 2021

No. 1: Chase Claypool, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

By far the No. 1 fantasy option from the Notre Dame football program in 2021 is Chase Claypool, who emerged as a breakout player for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a rookie last season. A touchdown machine, Claypool offers tremendous fantasy value due to the fact he can find the end zone not only through the air but also on the ground.

With Ben Roethlisberger coming back healthy, and ready to get this team back to the playoffs, he is certainly going to lean on Claypool in Year 2. He and JuJu Smith-Schuster are a dominant young WR duo and based on production, I could see Claypool emerging as the true No. 1 wide receiver in Pittsburgh for years to come.

There are a few other flex options who could work for you if they move up the depth chart, like Josh Adams in New York with the Jets, or players like Equanimous St. Brown in Green Bay, or Miles Boykin in Baltimore. Overall, this is a weak group in terms of fantasy football potential, but most of these guys should play a role in their team’s success in 2021.
