The Notre Dame football team takes on Purdue at home on Saturday, and here is what we can expect in terms of the weather for the matchup.

Week 3 of the college football season is upon us, and looking from afar, you would think that the Notre Dame football team is in pretty good shape. They went down to Florida and beat Florida State in overtime, and then were able to get the win against a MAC school in Week 2, beating Toledo.

However, both of these games could have gone the other way, and entering Week 3, there are a ton of questions on both sides of the ball. The offensive line is banged up, the linebacker group is depleted, and we saw this past weekend that the Irish play to go with a two-quarterback set likely the rest of the way.

With all of this, the Irish will now welcome Purdue to Notre Dame Stadium in a game that features two undefeated teams with a lot to prove. Luckily for both teams, it is going to be a beautiful day on Saturday, playing under partly cloudy skies with a high of 83 per weather.com.

With the weather not being a factor, the Irish will just have to focus on executing their game plan against a tough Purdue team.

Notre Dame football should have the advantage at home

Based on what we know about these two teams, the Irish have the advantage in this one, and also have the luxury of playing inside Notre Dame Stadium. The Boilermakers are going to come out and try to exploit the Irish’s secondary, utilizing Jack Plummer and David Bell, while also trying to get a strong pass rush against the makeshift Notre Dame offensive line.

Overall, this is going to be an exciting game inside Notre Dame Stadium and based on the weather, the tailgating scene should be outstanding for the fans this Saturday. You can expect a rowdy crowd inside the stadium for this matchup, as the Irish look to use the home-field advantage to move to 3-0 on the young season.
