The Notre Dame football team takes on Georgia Tech in Week 12, and here is our game preview and prediction of the matchup inside Notre Dame Stadium.

The Notre Dame football team has been dominant the last few weeks, as they have looked like one of the elite teams in the country since the bye week. This weekend, they take on Georgia Tech, a team riding a four-game losing streak, and one that has looked bad on both sides of the ball as of late.

The Yellow Jackets also have the issue of the quarterback spot, one that saw freshman Jordan Yates step in for Jeff Sims who has been battling an injury this past weekend against Boston College. In that game, Georgia Tech’s defense was lit up by former Notre Dame quarterback Phil Jurkovec, who threw for five touchdowns in a blowout victory.

At this point in the season, these two programs are moving in opposite directions, and that spells trouble for Georgia Tech on Saturday afternoon. Notre Dame football is rolling right now and has its eyes set on not only winning their sixth straight game but moving towards another berth in the College Football Playoff.

Notre Dame football moves to 10-1 on the season

This is a game that could get out of hand early, as the Irish are dominating in the run game, and Jack Coan should be able to pick the Yellow Jackets apart through the air. The one thing the Irish have to do, which is what they did against Virginia, is come out hot, putting the game away early against a lesser opponent.

In the end, the Irish should pounce on the Yellow Jackets early on, establishing themselves as the better team, and rolling to victory No. 10. If they can do that, they will make another statement that they belong in the conversation to be one of the four teams selected for the College Football Playoff, and then they will turn to scoreboard watching the rest of the day.

Final Score: Notre Dame 38, Georgia Tech 17
