The Notre Dame football team battles it out against Stanford in Week 13, and here are three Irish that will key the victory on the road.

The Notre Dame football team has one more hurdle to climb when it comes to their 2021 regular season, and that will come on the road against the Stanford Cardinal. The Irish have done a nice job saving their season after loss early on to Cincinnati and will go into this game with a real shot at the College Football Playoff.

Here, we look at three Irish players that will key their victory on Saturday night.

Notre Dame football: 3 Irish that will key victory over Stanford in Week 13

Jack Coan

It starts with Jack Coan, and when it comes to the graduate transfer from Wisconsin, he has been playing his best football as of late. One of the more efficient signal-callers in college football since the bye week, Coan has mastered Tommy Rees’ offense, and on Saturday night, expect him to have a big game through the air.

Kyren Williams

Snubbed from the Doak Walker finalist list for no reason whatsoever, Kyren Williams is going to put on a show in primetime on Saturday night, running all over this Cardinal defense. Williams is only 70-plus yards away from another 1,000-yard season, as he continues to make his mark as one of the best running backs to put on a Notre Dame football uniform.

Howard Cross III

Howard Cross III has been making his mark the last few games and is rounding into a player that is going to be an anchor for this Notre Dame team moving forward. With three sacks in his last two games, including two last week, he is bringing the heat, and he should be able to notch another one Saturday night.

The Irish should be able to go into Stanford Stadium and blow out the Cardinal, but you never know what can happen going west on the road. If they can finish out at 11-1, it will be an incredible accomplishment, one that has brought them to the brink of another College Football Playoff appearance.
