Resilience

The Irish did not start the way many felt they would, as they barely beat Florida State on the road in Week 1, needing overtime to do so. From there, it would be a tough run for the team, as they were getting victories over lesser opponents like Toledo and Purdue, but could not overcome Cincinnati at home.

With one loss under their belt, it looked like they would be left for dead in terms of the CFP, but that was not the case, as they revamped the offensive line, and the offense took off. Since the bye week, they have been one of the best teams in the country, and have shown what kind of a resilient team they are.

All told, this Notre Dame football team has done everything it can to shake off an early-season loss and get themselves in a position to make it to the College Football Playoff. There is still some work to be done, but it has been quite a ride following this Irish team in what has become a solid 2021 campaign.
