Notre Dame football: 2022 Offensive Line could bring home Joe Moore Award

The future is now

The combination of Alt and Fisher is going to be a special one, no matter what side of the line they end up playing. Kristofic and Lugg could get the first shot at the starting offensive guard spots, but Spindler was considered one of the top-3 recruits in that 2021 class and is going to be fighting to earn a spot in the starting lineup as well.

Also within that 2021 class was Caleb Johnson, who was a four-star recruit, and Pat Coogan, who is going to give them depth along the interior. The 2022 class is loaded with offensive line talent, as Ty Chan, Joey Tanona and Aamil Wagner are elite offensive tackles, and Billy Schrauth is going to be a key player along the interior of this offensive line in the future as well.

2022 has a chance to be a very special season for the Irish, and the guys who passed up on going pro know something is going on that could lead to a national title. The Irish have the talent on both sides of the ball to make a serious run, but one thing is for sure, what they have up front on offense is going to be an elite unit in 2022 and beyond.
