Notre Dame football: Most exciting 21 moments from the 2021 season

No. 1: Kyren Williams 91-yard touchdown run against UNC

Early on in the 2021 season, the Notre Dame football team, including Kyren Williams, was really struggling to run the football. However, after the team revamped the offensive line, Williams began to run wild, and he would end up with over 1,000 yards for the second straight season.

The 1,000-yard campaign was aided by a 199-yard effort against North Carolina, a game that featured our most memorable moment of the 2021 campaign. In that game, with the Irish only up four points heading into the fourth quarter, Williams got the ball at the nine-yard line, and looked to be stopped in the backfield, but he would not be denied.

Williams shed a tackle, reversed field down the left sideline, and raced for a 91-yard touchdown. The score sent Notre Dame Stadium into a frenzy, and ended up being the turning point in the game, and possibly the Notre Dame season.

So there you have it, our top-21 moments of the 2021 college football season for this Notre Dame football team. The 2021 team gave us so many highs, and as we look to the 2022 campaign, you have to believe that this program is in position to be a national title contender for years to come.
