Notre Dame football: 2022 NFL Scouting Combine primer

Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa

The final piece of the puzzle in our NFL Scouting Combine primer is a defensive player, in fact, the only Notre Dame defensive player going to Indy this year. Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa is someone who is seen as a possible Day 3 pick, or a rookie UDFA, but he is also someone who has the versatility to really help an NFL team in Year 1.

Playing mostly inside during the beginning of his collegiate career, Tagovailoa-Amosa made the move outside in 2021, and it paid dividends for this Notre Dame football team. NFL teams struggle mightilyup frontt along the defensive line, so to be able to get a player who can play inside or out on Day 3 could make Tagovailoa-Amosa one of the steals of this draft late.

Overall, we could see as many as five Irish taken in the 2022 NFL Draft, but going into the Combine, only two are a lock to hear their names called. This is a huge week for these players, as they look to continue their football careers, and we has seen stock rise and fall in a big way during this week year after year.
