Notre Dame football: 3 potential 2023 NFL Draft first-round picks

No. 3: Jarrett Patterson

This year, Tyler Linderbaum from Iowa is considered the best interior offensive lineman in this draft class and is slated to go in the middle of the first round. Before deciding he was heading back to Notre Dame for another season, Jarrett Patterson was considered the second-best center in this class, and a potential Day 2 pick.

With Patterson returning for another season at Notre Dame and looking to build on the fact he has yet to let up a sack in his career, his draft stock could go through the room. Building an offensive line is priority No. 1 for every NFL team, and in Patterson, they could end up getting their starting center for the next 15 seasons.

The truth is, the Irish could have even more first-round picks, as Cam Hart will be considered one of the best cornerbacks in this draft class. Notre Dame football should be a special team in 2022, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that these three elite players came back for another go-around in Freeman’s first season at the helm.
