The Notre Dame football team is seemingly bringing in elite talent every day in terms of recruiting, showing why Marcus Freeman was a perfect hire.

When it comes to the Notre Dame football team in 2022, some holes could be tough to overcome. They do not have a ton of depth at the wide receiver position and are still figuring out who their quarterback is going to be, so they may be a year away from being a legitimate national title contender.

However, they also could be in line to shock the world, as they have first-round picks all over the roster, and many potential 2022 draft picks came back for another go-around. They are also seemingly playing with a chip on their shoulder, and in desperation to win now under new head coach Marcus Freeman.

The 2022 team has a chance to be special, but looking ahead, the Irish are closing the gap between them and the likes of Georgia, Clemson, and even Alabama. Freeman and his staff have been dominating on the recruiting trail, recruiting at a whole other level than we have seen from this program in recent years.

Sure, the Irish bring in a top-10 class every year, but Freeman is changing that narrative, and aiming at having the No. 1 class in the country in 2023 and possibly beyond.

Notre Dame football is on a new level in recruiting

The Notre Dame football program was seen as one with limitations in terms of recruiting, but Freeman and his staff are blowing all of that noise out of the water. He is going into living rooms and taking on the elite programs in the country, and families and recruits are blown away by him.

That is the kind of thing that takes your program from very good, to a national title contender every year.

The 2023 class is already loaded, being lauded as No. 1 in the country, and stacked with top-5 players at their respective position groups. Notre Dame football is going to be tough for years to come, and it is clear that when it comes to recruiting, they finally have the best of the best, which is clear this offseason.
