Notre Dame football: Imagining what the WR group could be in 2023

Potential new faces

In terms of the 2023 recruiting class, Marcus Freeman and his staff have already landed a monster wide receiver prospect, getting an early commitment from Texas star, Braylon James. A four-star recruit, James is one of the top-100 players in the country, and someone this position group could be built around.

Notre Dame football is also in play for a few other star wideouts from this class, including Carnell Tate, a five-star prospect, Cam Williams, Jaden Greathouse, and Rico Flores. Williams, Greathouse, and Flores currently have Crystal Ball projections on them from 247Sports.com, and if the Irish can land some of these guys, they will be set.

All told, based on the talent already committed to the Irish, and the potential group that Freeman and his staff could land in 2023, wide receiver could be set for a very long time in South Bend. Notre Dame football is also zeroing in on some five-star quarterbacks to join the program, and with Tommy Rees calling the plays, this could be an exciting group for years to come.
