The Notre Dame football team has plenty of first-round talent on the roster in 2022, and in one latest mock draft for 2023, three Irish go in a row.

The 2022 college football season is right around the corner, and for the Notre Dame football team, there is elite talent on both sides of the ball. The Irish have more first-round talent on one roster than they have had in years, and it could be a banner first round in 2023.

The 2023 NFL Draft is nine months away, and for the Notre Dame football team, they have a chance to be well-represented in the first round. As many as five members of the Irish football team could go on Day 1, as the program has arguably the No. 1 draft prospect at tight end, safety, and interior offensive line.

In the latest mock draft at Yahoo Sports by the talented Luke Easterling, the Irish dominated the first round. While the first member of the program does not come off the board until pick No. 18 overall, Michael Mayer to the Tennessee Titans, the pick starts a three-pick run that is All-Irish.

After the selection of Mayer to the Titans, Isaiah Foskey comes off the board, landing in Houston where he will look to be the next coming of JJ Watt for the franchise. The third Irish player to be selected in a row is then Brandon Joseph, the transfer from Northwestern who is picked by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles have been trying to revamp their secondary for years, and in Joseph, they get a Day 1 starter.

Finally, at the bottom of the first round, Jarrett Patterson goes No. 31 overall, landing with the Buffalo Bills, who some believe is the NFL team with the brightest future moving forward. Patterson would be an instant starter for the Bills and be tasked with protecting their No. 1 asset, Josh Allen.

Overall, if this is how Day 1 shakes out next April, it will have a positive ripple effect on the program moving forward.
