The Notre Dame football program brought in a talented recruiting class for the 2022 cycle, but will any of them make an impact in Year 1?

When it comes to the 2022 Notre Dame football team, it is a veteran-laden group that has a lot of wins to its name. The Irish have been at least contenders to go to the College Football Playoff nearly every season in recent memory, and have appeared in two of them.

Now, as we inch closer to Fall practice, the Irish will be tasked with navigating a tough schedule in 2022. They play three potential teams during the regular season that could be one of the final four standing, including Ohio State, Clemson, and USC.

Due to the nature of their schedule, the veterans are going to be relied upon to get the job done in Marcus Freeman’s first season as the head coach. Oh yeah, there is also that, as Freeman will be a head coach in the regular season for the first time on any level.

With so much pressure to succeed in Year 1, will Freeman turn to any of his true freshmen to make an impact?
