The #8 ranked Notre Dame football team will host Marshall in the 2022 home opener for head coach Marcus Freeman. Here are all the details about this upcoming matchup.

Notre Dame football (0-1) will look to get back in the win column and get Marcus Freeman his first win as the head coach at Notre Dame this Saturday when the Thundering Herd (1-0) come to town. Notre Dame is a 20.5-point favorite this week.

While Marshall will present some challenges, this is a game where Tyler Buchner and the Irish offense should be able to build some confidence and get things going with the passing attack as well as with the ground game.

Here is how you can watch Notre Dame football on television and online:

Who: Notre Dame Fighting Irish vs Marshall

When: Saturday, September 10, 2022

Time: 2:30 PM ET

Where: Notre Dame Stadium, South Bend, Indiana

Television Station: NBC

Live Stream: FuboTV

Look for Notre Dame to build off of last week’s solid defensive performance and to hold this Marshall offense under control which does have some talented players in their own right. Ultimately, I think the defense has too much firepower to ever let the Thundering Herd offense get into rhythm and string together consistent drives to be able to keep this game close.

The Notre Dame offense will get a very big piece of their offensive line back this weekend when captain Jarrett Patterson returns back to the lineup. The addition of Patterson should really sure up some of the communication and missed assignments that the Irish had last week vs the Buckeyes.

Overall, we will learn a lot about this coaching staff and team after coming off an emotional and hard-fought loss last week vs Ohio State. Do they come out and play flat, like previous years (i.e. Toledo and Ball State), or do they come out early and take it to Marshall from the opening kick-off and never leave this game in any doubt? Which one will it be?

Tune in Saturday to find out.
