The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are going up against their third straight Top 25 opponent, but the Golden Domers are favored to win on the road this time.

Fresh off a victory over the Duke Bluedevils that improved the Notre Dame Fighting Irish’s record to 5-1 on the year, the Golden Domers are heading right into another Top 25 tilt.

While the Louisville Cardinals are 5-0 on the year, it appears that Vegas oddsmakers don’t think the ACC squad has much chance of winning. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are currently 6.5-point favorites according to both Fan Duel and DraftKings.

It also appears oddsmakers expect the game to be a bit of a shootout as the total has been set at 52.5.

Should the Golden Domers manage to take care of business and rack up another win, it will mean they’ve not only improved to 6-1 and logged another Top 25 win, but will also have won 31 straight games against ACC opponents.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish under the headsets

Speaking of the win over Duke, the Irish Access team have put together a video showing that final drive and defensive stand against the Blue Devils. The added twist of this video is that Notre Dame Fighting Irish fans can hear what the coaches were saying to each other during the last two minutes of the game.

The video is truly impressive and I dare you to try and not watch it 20 straight times.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish hockey captains named

While the Notre Dame football season keeps rolling on, we’re getting close to that time of year when a couple other seasons will kick off soon.

That includes the Fighting Irish hockey season. And with that right around the corner, the team has announced its four captains.

Senior Landon Slaggert, a forward who record 7 goals and 6 assists is the first of the bunch. He’s followed by goalie Ryan Bischel who posted a 2.39 GAA last year and a .931 save percentage. That included a seasons high of 52 saves last year in a January contest against Penn State.

Trevor Janicke (8 goals and 14 assists) and defenseman Jake Boltmann (66 blocks) round out the captains group.

Depth chart vs Louisville

The official depth chart for the Notre Dame football game against Louisville was officially released on Monday.

There obviously aren’t a ton of surprises but they do show the return of the Fighting Irish’s two top receivers in Jaden Greathouse and Jayden Thomas.

Men’s soccer wins again

The No. 15 Fighting Irish men’s soccer team turned in arguably its best half of the season over the final 45 minutes of action at NC State, scoring three goals en route to a 3-1 win over the Wolf Pack to remain unbeaten in ACC play at 3-0-1.

They’ll next face off against North Carolina State on October 7.

Women’s soccer follows suit

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have quite the soccer program right now. It appears the men’s and women’s teams are playing a game of trying to one-upmanship. The 10th-ranked women’s team kept pace with their male counterparts this weekend as they beat Louisville 3-0 and improved to 7-1-3 and 3-0-1 on the season.

Next up is Boston College on October 5.
