Notre Dame football 2025 quarterback commit Deuce Knight appears rather locked in regarding peer recruiting and he claims something is coming.

If it was anyone other than Knight, Notre Dame football fans might be excused if they thought the quarterback’s comments were just a lot of talk. However, the top QB prospect in the 2025 class has been doing a ton of peer recruiting since committing to Marcus Freeman and company last month.

He also just happened to be in town to watch his future teammates topple the USC Trojans. There were a ton of other recruits in town to watch that blowout unfold as well.

It stands to reason that when Deuce Knight took to social media and told Irish fans to “stay tuned,” he knows something they don’t. That perhaps one of the many, many visitors he spent some time with, told him they were about to pull the trigger.

One player that it doesn’t appear to be is 4-star tight end prospect Carter Nelson. The Ainsworth, Nebraska native paid a bit of a surprise visit to South Bend on Saturday and unsurprisingly, that led to some speculation that he was wavering on his commitment.

However, on Sunday evening, Nelson’s father told local Nebraska media that his son was still “steadfast” in his commitment to the Nebraska football team. That’s still one to watch in the coming weeks as we get closer to signing day.

Notre Dame football on the cusp of something?

There are a couple of commits who got some new Crystal Balls from recruiting gurus on Sunday afternoon. 2025 prospects Cree Thomas and Damien Shanklin are both considered to be favoring the Notre Dame football team at this point.

The Irish already have a Top 5 recruiting class for the 2025 cycle according to all three major recruiting sites. It will be interesting to see if they’re about to add a couple more to that haul.
