Notre Dame football target pulling the ripcord on commitment next week
One of Notre Dame football’s top 2025 offensive line targets is set to announce his future school next week and the Fighting Irish are holding out hope.
Can Notre Dame football recruiting manage to pull a rabbit out of a hat and secure the commitment of 2025 offensive line prospect Easton Ware? Fighting Irish fans will find out next week.
Ware, a 3-star offensive tackle recruit out of Lynchburg, Virginia took to Twitter earlier this week to say that he’s announcing his future school just after Halloween. Specifically, he’s announcing his pick on the evening of November 1.
The Liberty Christian prospect let everyone know who his Top 10 schools were at the same time that he announced his commitment date and time. Notre Dame football is still in the fight, but they’ve got some very high profile rivals they’ll have to take on.
In addition to the Fighting Irish, Ware named Auburn, Oklahoma, Cincinnati, Wake Forest, Baylor, Wisconsin, Michigan, Duke, and Clemson. Unfortunately for Notre Dame football, it appears that most college football analysts believe they know where the offensive tackle is headed.
247Sports, Rivals and On3 are all projecting Easton Ware to end up as a Clemson Tiger. The projections are not hemming and hawing on this particular prospect wither. All three believe it’s almost a certainty he’s headed to the ACC power, even if that power has faded a bit of late.
Notre Dame football has tough task ahead
While it never really comes down to head-to-head matchups, it is unfortunate that Ware has planned his commitment ceremony for the week before Notre Dame football will take on Dabo Swinney’s Tigers.
Perhaps the timing there isn’t a mistake. Maybe Ware wants to feel secure in his commitment before two of his favorite schools go toe-to-toe. One has to wonder if he won’t be in Death Valley either way. Whatever the outcome, it won’t be much longer until Notre Dame football fans will get to see if Marcus Freeman has pulled in another talented prospect.
