Class of 2026 commit Thomas Davis Jr. has been locked in with Notre Dame since November of 2024, and while we are in an age of football, where players change schools more than a chameleon changes colors, the young linebacker is staying put, even with an enticing offer on the table.

Davis Jr. is the son of Thomas Davis Sr., who played college football at Georgia, and has received an offer from his father's Alma Mater. Davis Sr. played three seasons at Georgia, and the Bulldogs are trying to draw the legacy player from his original commitment.

Even with the enticing offer, Davis Jr. is reassuring Fighting Irish fans that his loyalty lies with Notre Dame.

"I'm still locked in with Notre Dame," Davis Jr. told Irish Sports Daily.

The 4-star linebacker out of Matthews, North Carolina, comes in as the No. 11 linebacker in the Class of 2026 and the No. 176 player nationally in his class, according to 247Sports. Davis Jr. is set to make his official visit to South Bend on June 13, where he will visit with other uncommitted players, and his plan is to try and get a few to be committed by the end of their stay.

"This is obviously a place that isn't for everyone," Davis Jr. plans to tell other potential recruits. "But y'all are being recognized already as a fit for somewhere that you can be developed to be the best man off the field. If they're going after you, it's saying something; they don't go after everyone."

To have a commit who is willing to help get other guys in his class in the building says something about how much Davis Jr. cares to be at Notre Dame and how much he loves the program. Not a lot of guys are willing to go to bat for their program for other recruits, so it is pretty safe to say that Davis Jr. isn't going anywhere anytime soon in his commitment.
