Does Marcus Freeman know how to recruit or what? This spring and summer, perhaps no program in the country has been more impressive in terms of locking in quality recruits on both sides of the ball than Notre Dame football.
What Freeman and his staff have been able to get done has been tremendous. Back on June 18, 6-5, 275-pound offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh committed to the Irish. He did so ranked as the No. 181 player in the country according to Rivals.
Well, that's no longer the case for the 4-star tackle. On Monday, Rivals came out with its updated rankings and to say McKeogh skyrocketed might even be a bit of an understatement. That's because he went from No. 181 to No. 13 overall for the 2026 class. Goodness:
Look at that! 🤯

4-star Notre Dame commit Grayson McKeogh is now the No. 13 player in the country
Come on, that's just unreal right there. McKeogh may have been a little bit under the radar to some casual fans, but now a ton of people across the country know all about him. For him to be just outside of the Top 10 has to be a special feeling, especially after he committed to ND just last month.
Throughout his recruitment, the Pennsylvania product picked up 23 total offers. In the end, he was down to Notre Dame, Penn State and Texas as his finalists - the massive OT was in South Bend for his official visit on June 13, committing to Freeman shortly after.
As of this writing, Freeman and the Irish are up to 26 total commitments for the 2026 group. It's ranked the No. 4 group in the country according to 247Sports. It seems like no more than a few days can pass without the Irish adding another pledge.
While we wait for someone else to jump on board, everyone knows that McKeogh's future will be in South Bend and that he can't wait to make plays for Freeman. When he does get to campus, he'll be doing so as one of the top OTs in the nation.
