Notre Dame is about to have a stellar recruiting class come infor the 2026 season, some of them coming in with some high ratings. Offensive tackle Grayson McKeogh isn't planning on allowing high expectations change his view on his development.
The five-star offensive tackle knows that a lot of people are expecting great things from him in South Bend this year, but he already knows exactly what he plans to work on in his first semester with the Irish. McKeogh is one of those recruits who enrolled early at Notre Dame and will partake in spring ball with the Irish.
In this first semester with Notre Dame, McKeogh is focusing on his involvement in the run game and getting better leverage on the line.
The five-star expectations for Notre Dame freshman OT Grayson McKeogh won't change how he's approaching his first semester with the Irish.

"I’ve got to really improve in the run game and play with a lot better leverage," McKeogh said.@BGInews: https://t.co/Zp8kFLudZt pic.twitter.com/9x7UNaevOV
The Notre Dame coaching staff has certainly done its job helping the new recruits settle into their new living situation, according to McKeogh. The five-star incoming freshman said his group has simply been told to keep their heads on straight and know that even though a lot is getting thrown at them, they are there early, which gives them a bigger advantage.
McKeogh could have a chance to get on the line early with the Irish for the 2026 season, especially coming in as such a highly rated player. Knowing already what he wants to focus on in the spring will allow him to build those skills early so that by the time fall camp rolls around, he can simply work on finding his role on the line.
