Marcus Freeman is working hard to build the Class of 2026 at Notre Dame, but recruiting doesn't stop there. Even though the Class of 2027 is still on the young side, those prospects are also taking the time to take visits to their prospective schools, and Freeman is making sure to make those recruits feel just as wanted by the Fighting Irish.
When it comes to the 2026 recruiting class, Notre Dame already has a 4-star quarterback commit, Noah Grubbs, from Lake Mary, Florida. However, Freeman is welcoming another potential quarterback prospect, Teddy Jarrard, who is a 4-star recruit out of Kennestone, Georgia.
Jarrard is taking quite a few visits in the month of June, starting with the Georgia Bulldogs, whom the Fighting Irish knocked out of the College Football Playoff after Georgia had their first-round bye. Jarrard is set to visit Notre Dame shortly after the Bulldogs and the Clemson Tigers on June 5.
Notre Dame looks to be battling a lot of big programs for 4-star 2027 QB prospect
Along with visiting Notre Dame, Jarrard is also visiting a lot of programs in the month of June, eight programs to be exact, all of them top Power 4 schools. He started out at Georgia before heading to Clemson and then Notre Dame, all in five days. He will then head to Penn State, Arkansas, Michigan, Ohio State, and LSU.
Jarrard is currently ranked as the No. 17 quarterback in the Class of 2027 and the No. 28 player in the state of Georgia. With time for Jarrard to develop in his final years in high school, he could jump in his rankings among other quarterbacks in the state of Georgia.
