The Notre Dame football team has another big game this week. That’s a trend that’s not going to stop as they try and solidify a berth in the College Football Playoffs. The game against Navy is the latest big contest, but it is far from the last.
The Navy Midshipmen come into the game undefeated and looking to pull off a big upset as they too look to make a playoff push. The difference is that no one really expect Navy to be here.
On the bright side, the Notre Dame football team will get to have their game called by a different broadcast crew again. Unfortunately the official Fighting Irish crew has left something to be desired.
Notre Dame football broadcast crew announced
The game will be at noon Eastern time on ABC and the announcing crew will be Sean McDonough, Greg McElroy, and Molly McGrath. McDonough does play-by-play, McElroy is the color analyst, and McGrath will be the sideline reporter.
The game will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. As it turns out, it’s the second straight game that the Irish are playing on a neutral field. Last week they took on Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
The Notre Dame football team has been playing better football of late. That game against the Yellowjackets was a blowout for most of the contest. They’ll need to find a way to keep Navy at bat. Most analysts believe that if they do manage to lose to the Midshipmen, that will almost certainly be the end of their playoff hopes.
